40lbs by 40yrs
No, that's not some sort of a weird math equation, my first weight loss goal was to lose 40 pounds by the time I turn 40 year old...today.
WHAT!!!!
Oh.My.Goodness...40!
Ok, deep breath, yes, today I turned 40 years old...I can do this. The best part of that though, I weighed in today and I met my first goal!!!! Woo hoo! 40.1 pounds down, 39.9 pounds to go.
Wk 20 - June 22 - lost 1.9 for a total of 40.1
Starting weight: 250.4
Current weight: 210.3 (Hit goal #1!)
I was a bit worried this week because I actually hit my goal early in the week last week and then found it and then lost it then found it...wasn't sure I wanted to step on the scale today. Happy birthday to me!

Motivational Storm
Tried to take a walk with my bff and the kiddos. We made it up to the school just in time to hear the thunder and see the dark clouds moving in...which made for a nice jog back home in hopes of beating the incoming storm. Nothing like a little motivation to pick up the pace and jog.
Week #19
Wk 19 - June 15 - lost 1.1 for a total of 38.2
Starting weight: 250.4
Current weight: 212.2

Pool Exercise...Yes Please
Thanks to some friends inviting us to the Lake Camelot Pool, we spent 3.5 hours at the pool, and probably close to 3 hrs of that was spent walking laps back and forth in the water...nice and cool workout!
And maybe a little relaxing time afterwards!
ETA: Next time I'll have to remember the sunscreen!

No more school / work until Fall! Lots of hiking and outdoor time last week...so much better than the treadmill!
Ran across this article online...
The Surprisingly Simple, Enjoyable Way to Make Weight Loss Stick
...so true! If I didn't have friends and family supporting me, walking and hiking with me (and boxing), and encouraging me along the way, I probably would have given up already. Thanks everyone!
Now who wants to go walk? LOL

Running Central
No, I'm not taking up running.
I went on a 3.5 mile hike on the South Loop at WPP this morning with mom while the girls were out for breakfast with Daddy, got the dog bathed, got myself showered (so I didn't smell like a wet dog), went to Running Central and got new pair of Brooks trail running shoes for my hiking, had dinner with Mike and the girls, and ended the night with a 2.9 mile hike on the North Loop at WPP with mom. The shoes are a bit uncomfortable, but they're new, got to break them in.
What a great day.
